Epicor names Rachel Barger as Chief Revenue Officer

Wed, 10th Jun 2026 (Today)

Epicor has appointed Rachel Barger as Chief Revenue Officer, joining the software company as it expands its leadership team.

Barger will oversee sales, marketing, customer success, partner channels, and revenue operations, leading strategy and execution across Epicor's global sales and recurring revenue teams.

She brings more than two decades of experience in global technology sales and go-to-market roles. Barger has held leadership positions at Cisco, SAP, and UKG, managing teams across the Americas; Europe, the Middle East, and Africa; and Asia-Pacific.

Epicor serves manufacturers, distributors, and retailers and has been increasing its international reach. Her remit includes expanding the partner ecosystem, deepening customer relationships, and improving operational consistency across regions.

The role brings a broad range of commercial functions under one executive. In addition to revenue growth, it covers customer-facing teams and internal revenue operations, areas companies often combine to better align sales activity with customer retention.

Steve Murphy, Chief Executive Officer of Epicor, said the appointment is part of the group's wider development. "Rachel brings an exceptional combination of global scale, operational discipline, and customer-first leadership," Murphy said.

"Her proven ability to lead large global teams and multi-billion-dollar organisations through transformation and growth makes her the right leader to help accelerate Epicor's momentum worldwide. As we continue delivering AI-driven, industry-focused solutions, Rachel's experience will be critical to strengthening customer relationships, scaling our global business, and driving long-term growth," he added.

Barger joins Epicor after senior roles at large enterprise software and technology companies. At UKG, Cisco, and SAP, she held positions focused on sales leadership, customer relationships, and organisational execution.

The appointment comes as software groups serving industrial and distribution sectors face pressure to balance expansion with steadier recurring revenue performance. Bringing sales, partner management, and customer success into one leadership structure can help companies track revenue quality as well as volume.

International push

Epicor has said it is investing in its global leadership team as it seeks further growth outside its home market. Its customer base spans businesses involved in making, moving, and selling goods, including sectors where supply chains and operational software remain central to day-to-day activity.

The company has operated in industry software for decades, focusing on enterprise resource planning products tailored to specific vertical markets. More recently, Epicor has highlighted artificial intelligence and automation in its product direction, although this announcement centres on commercial leadership rather than product changes.

Barger's experience across multiple geographies is likely to support that international expansion. Managing sales organisations across regions often requires balancing local market conditions with global operating targets, particularly for companies that sell subscription software and rely on partner networks to extend reach.

Her remit also includes customer success, a function that has become increasingly important for software companies with recurring revenue models. That team typically handles adoption, retention, and renewals after the initial sale, making it a critical link between growth targets and customer relationships.

Commenting on her move, Barger said: "I'm excited to join Epicor at such an important moment in the company's growth journey.

"Epicor has built a strong reputation for delivering industry-focused innovation that helps essential businesses thrive. I look forward to working with our customers, partners, and teams around the world to strengthen execution, deepen engagement, and support long-term growth."
