Perion debuts Outmax AI agent to optimise TikTok ads

Wed, 11th Mar 2026

Perion has launched an Outmax AI agent for TikTok, adding the social video platform to its buying and optimisation tools and making the product available to advertisers running TikTok campaigns.

The agent runs within Perion's Outmax engine and connects directly with TikTok, adding Perion's optimisation layer on top of TikTok's native options. Perion positions it as a way for brands to optimise media against their own business outcomes rather than standard platform metrics.

Perion is listed on Nasdaq and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange under the ticker PERI. It sells advertising technology across connected TV, digital out-of-home, commerce and retail media, and social environments.

TikTok Integration

The launch reflects TikTok's growing role in media plans. TikTok has close to 1.6 billion users worldwide, according to its figures, and Perion pointed to market expectations that TikTok advertising revenue will exceed USD $50 billion by 2027.

Perion described the release as an expansion of its addressable market and said adding TikTok widens the set of platforms where it can offer a consistent optimisation approach across channels.

Operationally, the new agent is designed to automate campaign and measurement decisions set by the advertiser. Perion said its model applies algorithmic intelligence beyond TikTok's default settings to align delivery with brand-defined outcomes.

Early Results

Perion reported early performance gains for customers using the product on TikTok, saying initial results show up to 25% better performance. It did not provide details on how performance was measured or which metrics were used.

Perion also linked the TikTok release to broader advertiser investment decisions, saying demand for TikTok inventory has risen as more brands allocate budget to the platform.

For advertisers, the key question is whether an external optimisation layer can consistently outperform native platform tools. TikTok, like other large ad platforms, already offers automated bidding, targeting and creative tools. Perion argues its approach gives brands another way to steer campaigns using their own outcome definitions.

Outmax sits at the centre of that proposition. Perion describes it as proprietary infrastructure for media execution across multiple channels, with the TikTok agent extending the system into social video buying and optimisation.

Company Direction

The rollout comes as Perion emphasises longer-term targets and a broader platform strategy. CEO Tal Jacobson linked the TikTok model to customer expansion across platforms and geographies.

"As we officially launch our new AI Model for TikTok, we are seeing great results for our clients," said Tal Jacobson, CEO, Perion.

He also connected the release to the company's product roadmap and stated targets.

"The deployment of additional Outmax AI agent Models across high-growth platforms such as TikTok enables us to work with more customers across more platforms, worldwide. The strong demand we are seeing from clients expanding their investment in TikTok reinforces the strategic direction we outlined with our recently announced 2028 targets," said Jacobson.

The Outmax agent is now available for TikTok campaigns through Perion's platform, with more Outmax AI agent models planned for other high-growth advertising environments.
