Nexer Digital and Deque Systems have formed a global partnership aimed at helping organisations improve the accessibility of digital products and services as regulatory requirements and customer expectations continue to increase.
Under the agreement, Macclesfield-based Nexer Digital will act as a key global partner for Deque, providing accessibility consultancy, training, testing and regulatory support across multiple markets, including the UK, Sweden and Germany.
The partnership combines Deque's accessibility technology platform with Nexer Digital's expertise in inclusive design, accessibility consultancy and digital transformation. The companies said the arrangement is intended to support organisations seeking to address accessibility requirements across websites, applications and digital services.
Nexer Digital is part of Nexer Group, a technology and consultancy business headquartered in Sweden. The group employs more than 2,800 people across 16 countries and operates across digital transformation, IT and strategy services.
Growing pressure
The partnership comes as organisations face greater scrutiny over the accessibility of digital services. Regulatory developments, including the European Accessibility Act, have increased attention on how businesses and public sector bodies design and maintain digital experiences.
Accessibility has also become a broader business issue linked to customer experience, environmental, social and governance commitments, and digital inclusion strategies.
Research from WebAIM has continued to identify accessibility issues across a large proportion of widely used websites. Those findings have reinforced concerns that many organisations still face significant challenges in making digital services usable for people with disabilities.
The two companies said their combined offering is intended to help organisations address accessibility throughout the lifecycle of digital products rather than relying solely on periodic compliance reviews.
Combined services
As part of the partnership, Nexer will provide accessibility strategy development, planning services, manual accessibility audits, inclusive usability testing, training programmes and guidance on regulatory requirements.
These services will be delivered alongside Deque's technology portfolio, which includes automated testing tools for web and mobile applications, enterprise monitoring and reporting platforms, training resources and developer-focused products designed to identify accessibility issues earlier in software development.
The companies said the approach is intended to help organisations incorporate accessibility considerations from the beginning of projects. They believe this can reduce the cost and complexity of later remediation work while supporting broader usability goals.
Hilary Stephenson, Managing Director, Nexer Digital, said: "Accessibility is fundamentally about people being able to participate fully in modern digital life, and organisations increasingly recognise that inclusive design improves customer experience, strengthens brands and creates better digital products for everyone.
"This partnership combines Deque's market-leading accessibility technology with Nexer's expertise in inclusive design, research and transformation. Together, we can help organisations embed accessibility more effectively and sustainably across their digital services."
Global reach
The partnership also expands the international reach of both organisations. Nexer will provide local delivery capabilities across several European markets while supporting broader international accessibility programmes through the wider Nexer Group network.
Deque has built its business around accessibility software, training and consultancy tools that help organisations identify, monitor and address accessibility barriers across digital platforms.
Preety Kumar, CEO and Founder, Deque Systems, said: "Nexer is an ideal Deque partner, as their strong alignment with inclusive and ethical values, sector expertise in healthcare and the public sector, and ability to deliver local market knowledge to customers greatly enhances our ability to meet organisations where they are.
"Digital accessibility is a global mission, and our global partnerships are essential to helping organisations around the world embed accessibility into their culture and operations and build long-term, sustainable accessibility programmes."
