Mon, 13th Apr 2026

Hyland has appointed Lubor Ptacek as Senior Vice President of Product Marketing, where he will lead the company's global portfolio and product marketing strategy.

He will oversee how Hyland presents, packages and takes its AI-focused products to market across industries and regions worldwide.

Ptacek joins with more than 20 years of experience in enterprise software, including leadership roles at Egnyte, OpenText and Documentum.

He has also served on the board of AIIM International, the industry association for information management, adding to his experience in content management and related software markets where Hyland already has an established presence.

The appointment comes as Hyland looks to sharpen how it describes its product portfolio and broader market strategy. Best known for enterprise content management software, the company has been placing greater emphasis on AI across its product set.

Jitesh S. Ghai, Chief Executive Officer at Hyland, tied the hire to that direction.

"As Hyland continues to shape the future of intelligent content and agentic automation, Lubor will play a pivotal role in amplifying our agentic enterprise vision," said Ghai.

"His proven ability to translate innovation into market success, combined with Hyland's world-class teams, will further strengthen how we showcase our technology and deliver value to customers and partners as we continue to grow."

Market focus

Product marketing leadership is a key function for software companies seeking sharper positioning in a crowded market. It typically covers product messaging, portfolio structure, launch planning and support for sales teams across regions.

For Hyland, the brief points to a push for a more consistent story around its software portfolio, while still tailoring that message to different industries. Ptacek will help define and execute that strategy globally.

The appointment also highlights the value of experienced marketing executives at software companies reshaping portfolios around artificial intelligence. Content management and automation vendors have been reworking product language and sales approaches as buyers assess how AI tools fit into existing systems and workflows.

Ptacek said the move comes at a significant moment for the company.

"Hyland's ECM leadership and agentic enterprise roadmap makes this an inspiring time to join the company," said Ptacek.

"I look forward to working with our talented teams to deliver compelling product narratives, drive market impact, and help customers unlock the full potential of intelligent content and agentic automation across their organisations."

Sector experience

His earlier roles at Egnyte, OpenText and Documentum place him among executives with deep experience in enterprise information software. Those companies operate across document management, content services and broader enterprise software categories, giving Ptacek exposure to markets similar to Hyland's.

Hyland has built its position in enterprise content management and related software used by organisations to manage documents, records and information processes. Like others in the sector, it is now framing more of its portfolio around AI-based automation and analysis.

Ptacek will oversee how those products are positioned and taken to market across geographies and sectors, making the role central to how Hyland presents itself to customers and partners.
