Fosi Audio has introduced four new audio products, broadening its range beyond amplifiers and DACs.

The new additions are the Carbon12 in-ear monitor, the ZH1 desktop DAC and headphone amplifier, the DISC Nano portable CD player, and the S3 Lite streaming digital transport. Together, they extend the brand into portable listening, physical media playback, and streaming hardware alongside its established desktop audio products.

The move reflects a broader effort to cover more listening scenarios, from mobile use to home systems. Founded in 2017, Fosi Audio says it now reaches users in more than 150 countries and regions.

Wider range

The Carbon12 is the company's second in-ear monitor after the IM4. It uses a 12mm carbon-fibre dynamic driver in a TC4 titanium-alloy housing and has a 37Ω impedance, intended to make it easy to use with a wide range of portable audio devices.

It is expected to go on sale in late September at a list price of USD $149.99 in the US and €169.99 in Europe. Fosi positions it as an everyday earphone with tuning aimed at a warm, vocal-forward sound.

The ZH1 is aimed at desktop users, combining a DAC and headphone amplifier in one unit. The company says it uses an ES9039Q2M DAC, supports up to PCM 32Bit 768kHz and DSD512, and delivers up to 2000mW of balanced output.

It also includes AI PEQ tuning, RGB ambient lighting, and multiple input and output options. The ZH1 is priced at USD $149.99 in the US and €169.99 in Europe, with availability expected in late September.

CD and streaming

The DISC Nano marks a move into portable CD playback, a category that has seen renewed interest among some music buyers as physical media retains a niche audience. Fosi describes it as a compact player with a half-exposed disc design, a CS43198 DAC, 3.5mm and 4.4mm outputs, Bluetooth transmission, and MagSafe compatibility.

It is intended to work with both wired and wireless listening setups. The player is due in late September at USD $99.99 in the US and €109.99 in Europe.

The S3 Lite extends the company's existing S3 streamer line. Rather than combining streaming and digital-to-analogue conversion in one box, it is designed as a digital transport for users who already own a DAC and want to add network audio to an existing hi-fi system.

Its connections include USB, optical, and coaxial outputs, and Fosi says it supports eight streaming protocols. Unlike the other three products, the S3 Lite is already on sale at USD $199.99 in the US and €229.99 in Europe.

Category shift

The four-product launch marks a notable shift in the company's commercial focus. Fosi built its name in compact amplifiers and DACs, but the latest range suggests an effort to expand into adjacent consumer audio segments, where demand spans headphones, desktop listening, legacy media, and digital streaming.

That approach could help the company reach buyers who first encounter the brand through one product type and later add others within the same ecosystem. It also puts Fosi into more direct competition with specialist brands across each category, from in-ear monitors to transports and portable disc players.

Ryan Huang, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, outlined the reasoning behind the broader portfolio.

"Fosi began by making high-quality HiFi more accessible, and as our community has grown, so have the ways they want to experience music. These new products take that same philosophy beyond our traditional amplifier and DAC categories, whether someone is listening through an IEM on the go, rediscovering their CD collection, or building a modern desktop or streaming system. IFA gives us the opportunity to let people experience that evolution firsthand," Huang said.

The product mix also reflects several current patterns in consumer audio. Desktop listening remains tied to gaming and personal workspaces, streaming upgrades continue to attract owners of older hi-fi equipment, and portable CD players have reappeared as some manufacturers test demand for physical playback in a mobile format.

At the lower end of the price spectrum, Fosi's pricing keeps all four products below USD $200 in the US, with the S3 Lite at the top of that range. That suggests the company is trying to preserve its reputation for lower-cost hi-fi hardware even as it enters more crowded product categories.

The clearest sign of change, however, is the breadth of the launch itself: one earphone, one desktop component, one portable CD player, and one streaming transport, with the S3 Lite available now at USD $199.99 in the US and €229.99 in Europe.
