Expleo names Martin Minnock as Head of Data Solutions

Expleo has appointed Martin Minnock as Head of Data Solutions, putting him in charge of the company's Data Solutions practice.

He will lead a team of analysts providing advisory and technical support to organisations in the public and private sectors, with oversight of data projects spanning strategy, governance and analytics.

The appointment adds a senior leader to an area where demand has risen as businesses and public bodies manage larger volumes of data and make greater use of artificial intelligence tools. Minnock will focus in particular on work in banking, insurance, engineering and the public sector.

Before joining Expleo, Minnock was Head of Product at CKDelta. Earlier roles included Director of Engineering at Marsh McLennan and Rent the Runway, as well as Chief Technology Officer at ACETECH.

He has more than 25 years of industry experience. His academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Management and Digital Innovation from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science from the University of London.

As Head of Data Solutions, Minnock will oversee end-to-end data work for clients, covering planning and governance as well as analytics, with the aim of helping organisations make better use of data through changes in technology, processes and people.

The move comes as consulting and technology services groups seek to strengthen data advisory teams amid growing scrutiny of how organisations manage information, particularly as AI systems rely on accurate, well-governed data. Many companies are reviewing data structures, ownership and controls as they look to connect older systems with newer software tools.

For Expleo, the appointment signals an effort to expand its data offering across several regulated and operationally complex sectors. Banking and insurance groups face strict requirements around data governance and reporting, while engineering organisations and public bodies often manage large, fragmented data estates.

Minnock said organisations are under pressure to improve the basics before they can fully benefit from newer tools.

The appointment places Minnock at the centre of Expleo's data advisory work as clients reassess how information is governed, analysed and used across their operations.

Expleo's data work is expected to cover both strategic planning and the technical implementation needed to support clients' data environments. The practice will also help organisations identify gaps in data quality, governance and accessibility as they introduce new digital and AI-based systems.

This includes aligning data policies with operational requirements while supporting teams responsible for managing and analysing information. Minnock's experience across technology, engineering and product roles is expected to support the practice as it works with clients across different industries.

His appointment also expands Expleo's leadership team as the company develops services around data management, analytics and the technologies built on top of them.
