Crescendo expands into UK & Europe after rapid growth

Fri, 24th Apr 2026 (Today)

Crescendo has expanded into the UK and Europe following growth to more than USD $100 million in annual recurring revenue in under two years.

The San Francisco-based customer experience software provider is already working with UK and European brands including Dr. Martens, Funky Pigeon, Mention Me, RealVNC and Sweet Bee Organics as it builds its regional presence.

The move places Crescendo in a European market where companies are under pressure to modernise customer service operations while managing multiple languages, national markets and regulatory requirements. Its system combines artificial intelligence tools and human agents in a single operating model, rather than layering software on top of existing customer service platforms.

Founded in 2023 and backed by General Catalyst, Crescendo has expanded its international reach through acquisition. It now delivers services across six continents and is building a UK team to support customers around the clock across time zones.

London is serving as the base for the company's European push. Crescendo cited the city's position as a hub for technology companies and specialist talent, and noted that co-founder and chief executive officer Matt Price previously helped scale Zendesk's European operations.

Price outlined his view of the market in a statement on the expansion.

"Customer experience sits at the centre of a global market worth hundreds of billions, yet it has remained largely untouched by modern software innovation. While AI was expected to transform the sector, many organisations have instead layered AI onto fragmented systems, slowing deployment and ultimately weakening customer outcomes," said Matt Price, co-founder and chief executive officer of Crescendo.

Companies in Europe are increasingly being asked to show that AI systems can operate consistently and transparently, especially in customer-facing roles. That creates a tougher environment for suppliers relying on separate tools across different parts of the service stack.

Price said those conditions make the region particularly challenging for fragmented systems.

"Organisations across Europe are facing a perfect storm of complexity, from fragmented systems to multi-market operations and rising expectations around trust and accountability," said Price. "The region's heavy reliance on legacy customer experience models, combined with the complexity of operating across multiple languages and markets, creates significant challenges for fragmented systems. A unified, AI-native approach is not just advantageous, but necessary."

Pricing model

Part of Crescendo's pitch in Europe centres on how it charges customers. Rather than pricing by software seats or support hours, it uses an outcome-based model tied to business results, which it argues better aligns its revenue with customer performance.

The company also highlighted a Total Outcome Guarantee introduced in October 2025. It did not provide financial terms, but presented the measure as part of a broader effort to address concerns about accountability in AI deployments.

Its UK customer list includes Stewart Golf, which is expanding rapidly and says it needs to maintain service standards as volumes grow.

"When you're named one of the UK's fastest growing businesses, the pressure to maintain quality at scale becomes very real. Our customers are passionate and discerning -- they expect every interaction to reflect the same attention to detail that goes into our products. Crescendo combines AI with genuine CX expertise in a way that keeps the human element front and centre, exactly what we need as we grow our presence globally," said Nathan Hooper, head of CX at Stewart Golf.

London backing

Crescendo also received support from London's digital leadership as it established its regional foothold.

"London is where the world's most ambitious AI companies come to find talent, access customers, and scale globally - and Crescendo is a compelling example of that. This is precisely the kind of high-impact innovation that London and the UK are here to back. We're delighted to welcome them and look forward to seeing the impact they will have across the city," said Theo Blackwell MBE, chief digital officer for London.

Crescendo says it has more than 500 AI deployments worldwide across sectors including retail, financial services, healthcare, technology and consumer services.
